Hi. I have 2 aeoniums that don't want to branch and are getting a bit top heavy. So I thought I'd prune them to help them and create more... I've watched a video of how to do It, but it didn't say when. Does anyone know what time of year? I'm thinking Spring, but don't know whether to do it soon or wait til they are outside in warmer weather. It's Velour and Swartzkof (sorry not sure of spelling) I have a lovely green one that smells of lemons which has branched naturally and I thought the Velour was going to do the same. Hello. My filiformis wasn't doing well in the heat of my greenhouse so after advice from here I popped it outside and it soon recovered and was doing great. Unfortunately I haven't checked on it much recently and the weather has changed to crazy rain and wind and cooler temps. It's now looking really sorry for itself. It's got no dew or any healthy new shoots. Do you think it's gone dormant? Or just sulking? I've moved it back to the greenhouse so it's out of the wind and a bit warmer. Hello. Just after a bit of advice, I've had this plant for 4 ish years and it flowered for the first time this year. It has put out loads of huge pitchers since then and I'm wondering if I need to repot it? Just wanted to say thank you for your advice to put the filliformis outside. It looks much happier. No more brown tips to the leaves and it's getting back to being covered in dew. Lots of new leaves uncurling too. Sadly the tiny retundifolia have disappeared into the compost so I think they had deteriorated too far. Might have to treat myself to a plant! [emoji6]

It's very hot and dry in the greenhouse too. In fact probably a lot drier. I think it was 12% humidity in there today! I shall pop it out tonight and see what it looks like in the morning. I can keep it in the shade with my retundifolia. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk

They did look worse and because I thought they'd got too hot I popped them outside. I've recently moved them into a shadier position. I'm in south Dorset so could grow them outside. It's very dry and hot here at the moment. The greenhouse is like an oven. My new filliformis's new shoots are going black at the tips? Is that because it is too hot aswell? Hello. I've got three d. Retundifolia seedlings which popped up within other plants I bought. I moved them into a separate pot and they were growing really well. It then got really hot in my greenhouse and all their leaves dried up. I've moved them outside and they are partial shade for now. Are they dead? Or are they just dormant? Will they re grow this summer or is that it for this year. They are tiny seedlings. Is there anything I should do to help them? The third one looks even less alive. I tried to take a picture but it just looks like compost. :-(

Hello. In the last few days a Drosera seedlings has appeared in one of my pots and doesn't look like any of mine. I'm guessing it came within the soil of my newest acquisitions. :-) Does any know what it might be. Should I move it to a new pot now or wait till its dormant? Sorry for the poor photo, it was taken on my phone.
