  1. Thanks. I'll take a look at that now. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  2. I've taken the plunge and snipped them each into three today!!!!! Fingers crossed the original stumps sprout and I get some extra from the cuttings. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  3. Hi. I have 2 aeoniums that don't want to branch and are getting a bit top heavy. So I thought I'd prune them to help them and create more... I've watched a video of how to do It, but it didn't say when. Does anyone know what time of year? I'm thinking Spring, but don't know whether to do it soon or wait til they are outside in warmer weather. It's Velour and Swartzkof (sorry not sure of spelling) I have a lovely green one that smells of lemons which has branched naturally and I thought the Velour was going to do the same. I have bought myself 4 more, which arrived today they are small, but all so different.... Whoops going to need more room Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks to you both. I shall pot it on so it's more stable and keep it in the current soil so it doesn't get disturbed too much. Thanks again Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  5. It is very scenic here. Thanks for all your help. I shall pop it in a empty tray now. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  6. Hi Mark. Yes I'm in the UK in sunny Dorset, although it's not been a very sunny Sept! Ok maybe it has just gone to sleep then. My other Drosera are still growing away in the greenhouse so I was worried. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  7. Hello. My filiformis wasn't doing well in the heat of my greenhouse so after advice from here I popped it outside and it soon recovered and was doing great. Unfortunately I haven't checked on it much recently and the weather has changed to crazy rain and wind and cooler temps. It's now looking really sorry for itself. It's got no dew or any healthy new shoots. Do you think it's gone dormant? Or just sulking? I've moved it back to the greenhouse so it's out of the wind and a bit warmer. I've attached a before and after picture. Most exciting though my new Drosera is just about to flower... Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  8. Hello. Just after a bit of advice, I've had this plant for 4 ish years and it flowered for the first time this year. It has put out loads of huge pitchers since then and I'm wondering if I need to repot it? I've put a picture of it with it's flower bud at the start of the summer and another of what it looks like today. Thanks for looking. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  9. Just wanted to say thank you for your advice to put the filliformis outside. It looks much happier. No more brown tips to the leaves and it's getting back to being covered in dew. Lots of new leaves uncurling too. Sadly the tiny retundifolia have disappeared into the compost so I think they had deteriorated too far. Might have to treat myself to a plant! [emoji6]
  10. How will you know which one is which Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  11. Ahhhhhh. That's made me feel itchy Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  12. Yep. But didn't give it a chance to. Took the picture and then left the building! Was hornet sized! Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  13. Millions down here in the south. We have so many horse flys at work. This one was hugeeee Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  14. Yep this is fine! Anything to remove the pooping machines :-) Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  15. Can I borrow him? Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  16. LOL. Already got millions of cats here. Humph. Loads of flys in my greenhouse, unfortunately bumblebees and butterflies get stuck in there too. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  17. Plenty here! Keep getting stuck zooming around my house. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  18. It's very hot and dry in the greenhouse too. In fact probably a lot drier. I think it was 12% humidity in there today! I shall pop it out tonight and see what it looks like in the morning. I can keep it in the shade with my retundifolia. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  19. Perfect thank you. I shall move him outside too. Do I need to do it gradually like hardening off other plants. Or can I just pop him outside tonight? Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  20. They did look worse and because I thought they'd got too hot I popped them outside. I've recently moved them into a shadier position. I'm in south Dorset so could grow them outside. It's very dry and hot here at the moment. The greenhouse is like an oven. My new filliformis's new shoots are going black at the tips? Is that because it is too hot aswell? My capensis is loving the heat and is smothered in flies. :-) Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  21. Hello. I've got three d. Retundifolia seedlings which popped up within other plants I bought. I moved them into a separate pot and they were growing really well. It then got really hot in my greenhouse and all their leaves dried up. I've moved them outside and they are partial shade for now. Are they dead? Or are they just dormant? Will they re grow this summer or is that it for this year. They are tiny seedlings. Is there anything I should do to help them? The third one looks even less alive. I tried to take a picture but it just looks like compost. :-(
  22. Ah. It looked different from mine, but then mine is alba. Well my collection is growing for free. :-) Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  23. Hello. In the last few days a Drosera seedlings has appeared in one of my pots and doesn't look like any of mine. I'm guessing it came within the soil of my newest acquisitions. :-) Does any know what it might be. Should I move it to a new pot now or wait till its dormant? Sorry for the poor photo, it was taken on my phone.
  24. Problem is now I can't decide what to get next. Soooo many to choose from. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  25. Welllll I already have spare compost and pots so it would be silly not to really! Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
